This site has a contact form. When you submit it, we collect only the information you provide — for example, name, email address, topic, and message content. We do not collect information beyond what you voluntarily submit.

This site also offers a newsletter subscription processed by a third-party email provider (see "Newsletter" below) and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics (see "Analytics" below).

How we use your information

We use information submitted through our contact form solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Newsletter subscriptions are processed by Beehiiv, our email service provider. When you subscribe, your email address is transmitted to Beehiiv to manage delivery of the Engineered Optimism newsletter. Beehiiv's privacy policy is available at beehiiv.com/privacy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track individual users, and does not collect personal information. It provides us with aggregate, anonymized data about site traffic.

Email delivery

Form submissions are delivered to us via Resend, a transactional email service. Your submitted information is transmitted to Resend solely for the purpose of delivering your message. Resend's privacy policy governs their handling of data in transit.

Data retention

Form submissions are retained in our email system for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of correspondence. Newsletter subscription data is retained by Beehiiv until you unsubscribe. We do not maintain a separate database of form submissions.

Your rights

You may request deletion of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
